AKLAN – Authorities successfully apprehended the No. 2 most wanted person in Western Visayas.
The arrest of alias “Boni,” a 38-year-old married driver, was made in Barangay Tul-ang, Ibajay, Aklan, on Monday afternoon, April 1.
The listed charges against him include three counts of acts of lasciviousness and thirteen counts of rape.
The suspect was taken into custody through a joint operation involving the Murcia Municipal Police Station (MPS), the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Provincial Intelligence Team, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Ibajay MPS, and Dingle MPS.
“Boni” had an arrest warrant issued by Hon. Karen Joy Tan Gaston in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental dated March 21, 2024.
Bail was set at P180,000 for the acts of lasciviousness charges, while no bail was recommended for the rape charges.
Following his arrest, “Boni” is currently held in the custody of the Murcia MPS for booking and will be transferred to the appropriate court for legal proceedings./PN
