ROXAS City – Police operatives arrested the No. 5 most wanted person in Western Visayas on January 2 in Barangay Baybay here.
The 42-year-old alias “Jun-Jun”, laborer and a resident of the city’s Barangay Culajao was caught around 9 a.m. through the strength of warrant of arrests for three counts of sexual assault under Article 266-A(2) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(B) of Republic Act 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Child Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) and for statutory rape.
The successful operation was carried out by the Roxas Component City Police Station, Capiz Police Provincial Office – Intelligence Unit, 1st Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Capiz Maritime Police Station.
The court recommended a P200,000 bail bond for each case of sexual assault and no bail bond for statutory rape case.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Roxas Component City Police Station and will be turned over to court concern.
