HAVING to change his looks for his new character Joachim, actor Xian Lim might be up to his most challenging project yet as star of the highly anticipated film “Untrue” opposite actress Cristine Reyes.
In February, the 29-year-old celebrity caught social media attention after introducing Joachim as a beard-sporting, rugged-looking character – a far cry from the roles he’s used to portray as an actor.
And just this March, Xian revealed that, in addition to the facial hair, he also had to put on weight for his character. “Gained 20+ LBS for the role of Joachim. I’m excited for you all to meet him,” he captioned to a series of outtakes from their current shooting in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Prior to Xian, Cristine has made headlines after debuting a new fierce ‘do for her character Mara.
To helm “Untrue” is award-winning filmmaker Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, who is behind the blockbuster films “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz” (2018), “Kita Kita” (2017) and “Ang Huling Cha-Cha Ni Anita” (2013).
Tagging her new project as a suspense/thriller, she said of “Untrue”, “It’s about two lonely Filipinos living in the country of Georgia, who will find solace and companionship in each other – until a strange apparition begins to haunt their relationship.” However, an official release date for the movie has yet to be confirmed as of this writing.
