ILOILO City – One person died while three others were injured after the tricycle they were riding crashed against a car in Barangay Beri, Barbaza, Antique.
The casualty in Monday’s crash was identified as resident Andrea Española, a police report showed.
Española – who sustained head and body injuries – was declared “dead on arrival” at the Pedro L. Gindap Municipal Hospital.
Driver Arnel Paderan was brought to the same hospital and currently recovering, while passengers Christian Lei Talagtag and Rosemarie Portelli were rushed to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital.
It was around 12:36 p.m. on Dec. 24 when the south-bound tricycle the victims were riding was hit by the car driven by Rogelio Cango, police said.
Cango was arrested and detained in the lockup cell of the Barbaza municipal police station./PN
