BACOLOD City – The matriarch of the feuding Yanson clan, Olivia, has ordered the closure of Ceres Mart in the Northbound Terminal in Barangay Bata.

According to Olivia, her daughter Emily failed to pay rent for the use of the space since the terminal opened in 2015.

“I am respectfully giving you 24 hours to vacate. This is our last and final demand,” she said.

Emily could not be reached for comment as of this writing.

The management of Ceres Mart, meanwhile, said in a statement that they are an independent company from the Yanson Group of Bus Companies and they have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing management crisis.

They also claimed that their store was padlocked days after the Yanson matriarch issued the closure order.

“While we sympathize with all members of the YGBC (Yanson Group of Bus Companies) family in their current situation, we cannot help but make ourselves be heard too,” they said.

The management further said they have been constantly harassed by armed guards.

“Ceres Mart must be spared from the current unrest within the company,” the management said./PN
