Yassi Pressman continues her journey with AP Partylist this weekend as she goes to Bogo City in Cebu. The popular actress led the team of AP Partylist with its first nominee Rep. Ronnie Ong as they made their first stop at Bogo City Hall Covered Court for a meaningful but quick gathering with the locals of Bogo.
After Bogo City, the AP Team proceeded to the Lapu-Lapu Auditorium in Lapu-Lapu City where the Cebu-based dance crew Diff Fam held its 2022 AP Dance Quest Finals.
The Dance Quest consisted of dance crew participants from Cebu Districts 1 to 3 and the Tricity area. For the elimination rounds, the groups were requested to create a short video of their dance routine to the tune of the Ako’y Pilipino AP Partylist anthem. Teams also uploaded the videos to their group’s Facebook account while tagging the official AP Partylist page and using the official hashtags for the contest.
The elimination rounds began last March 5 starting with the 3rd District, March 13 for the 2nd District, March 19 for the Tri-city area, and finally March 20 for the 1st District. Three groups from each location were chosen for the semifinal rounds that happened last April 2 as an in-person event at Tabunok in Talisay City.
The groups that made it to the semifinals included the TACTICS from Dalaguete, Aurum Dance Company from Brgy. San Isidro, Talisay City, Observe Silence from San Roque, Talisay City, Team Diversity from Minglanilla, Asturias Dance Company from Asturias, Underground Streets from Dujlo Fatima, Serenity from Lapu Lapu City, and Don Juan from Cebu City.
The group chosen as the Champion received P30,000. Meanwhile, the 2nd place winners took home P20,000 and the 3rd place received P10,000. The remaining groups were awarded P5,000 as a consolation prize. The evening’s festivities were highlighted by a special performance by Yassi Pressman with Diff Fam dance crew members. Yassi expressed her joy at seeing so much energy and potential with the home-grown talents of young dancers from all over Cebu. she hopes that they pursue in honing their craft and continue dancing not just to entertain but for their personal fulfillment as well.
For their themed and well-executed dance moves, Don Juan from Cebu City was chosen as the Dance Quest Champion. The 2nd runner-up was Underground Streets from Dujlo Fatima and the 3rd spot went to Observe Silence from San Roque.
