ILOILO City – A former call center agent was taken away by two armed men from her house in Barangay Central, Ajuy, Iloilo on Monday night.
Strangely, the men told their supposed victim to “dala ka bayo” (bring some clothes).
As of this writing, policemen of Ajuy were still looking for 22-year-old Renelyn Ira.
According to Chief Inspector Charlie Sustento, municipal police chief, two men barged into Ira’s house around 7:30 p.m.
Family members, who were at the living room watching television, told the police the men were wearing bonnets to conceal their faces.
At gunpoint, according to Sustento, the men held Ira by the arm then told her parents, “Indi kamo pakulba kay bayad na ‘ni ang bata n’yo. Indi kami rapist (Don’t be scared. Your daughter’s paid already. We’re not rapists).”
Sustento said the men assured Ira’s parents they would return her to them unharmed.
According to the family, said Sustento, these were the men’s exact words: “Ibalik namon ang bata n’yo nga wala sang gasgas. May maestorya lang sa iya (We’re returning your daughter without a scratch. Someone simply wants to talk to her).”
Then the men told Ira, “Dala ka bayo (Bring some clothes).”
The men left with Ira on a motorcycle, said Sustento.
Yesterday morning, the Ajuy police recovered the motorcycle in Barangay Lantagan, Ajuy.
“We have yet to verify who owns the motorcycle. The two men have not communicated with the parents,” said Sustento.
Investigators are not discounting anything in this case, including Ira’s personal relations, said Sustento.
The Ajuy police has not publicly named any suspect as of this writing./PN
