ILOILO City – Two big infrastructure projects in Aklan are set to commence construction early next year as Uswag Ilonggo Partylist’s Cong. Jojo Ang spearheaded the groundbreaking of an P80-million Aklan Provincial Sports Complex in Makato and P80-million rehabilitation for ABL Sports Center in Kalibo.
Together with Gov. Jose Enrique Miraflores and Uswag Ilonggo Partylist nominee Maria Lourdes “Lulu” Miraflores, the projects have their groundbreaking and capsule-laying yesterday, December 19.
The multi-million provincial sports complex is set to become one of the biggest sports facilities in the region through the construction of a rubberized track oval and a grandstand.
Meanwhile, the existing ABL Stadium is set to be fully-air conditioned, posing it as a future events venue for the thriving tourism and economy of Aklan.
“Ini nga mga proyekto ang aton nga bulig para sa turismo kag para sa paghatag man suporta bilang training ground sang mga talento sang aton mga atletang Aklanon,” said Ang.
This is one of the many sports facilities being constructed by the partylist, some of which are located in the province of Iloilo, as part of its commitment to harness the potentials of the youth./PN
