ROXAS City – Sigaw ng Kabataan Coalition-Cuartero Chapter and Buyluganay Youth Movement organized a tree growing activity in Barangay Agdahon, Cuartero, Capiz.
Panalingsing: A Tree Planting Project was held on Aug. 15 to support this province’s 1M Kahoy Project.
“As a youth organization and advocate, we are empowered to make an advocacy for our mother nature. Para sa akon, indi pa ulihi ang tanan. Ginahulat lang kita sang (aton) mother nature,” said Panalingsing project manager John Lourenz Dela Cruz.
The two youth organizations in partnership with Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (CaPENRO), Cuartero Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office and Boy Scout of the Philippines, among others, were able to plant a total of 500 fruit tree seedlings.
“It feels great to know nga may mga youth na parehas sa inyo. Ipabugal ko gid kamo sa probinsya tungod ang mga kabataan sa Cuartero nagapanguna sa pag-conserve, protect and restore (sang) environment,” said CaPENRO head Atty. Emilyn Depon./PN
