MANILA – Filipino gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo is competing in three gymnastics events final in the 2024 Paris Olympics after earning his qualifications on Saturday night (Sunday in the Philippines) at Bercy Aren in Paris, France.

Yulo, who finished fourth in the vault event of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in Japan, made it to the finals of the individual all-around event, vault, and floor exercises.

A many-time gold medal winner in the Southeast Asian Games, he ranked sixth in the vault, second in the floor exercise, and eighth in the individual all-around.

The Filipino gymnast landed in second in the floor exercise after scoring 14.766, behind Filipino-British Jake Jarman, who is representing Great Britain in the Summer Games.

Yulo ended in sixth place in vault apparatus with 14.683 points, while he ended up in eighth spot in the individual all-around after garnering 83.631 points.

Only the top 24 gymnasts get to advance to the individual all-around final, while only the top eight gymnasts in each apparatus will reach the apparatus final.

Yulo is scheduled to compete in the individual all-around finals on July 31 (11:30 p.m.), floor exercise on August 3 (9:30 p.m.) and vault on August 4 (10:30 p.m.).

Meanwhile, Pinay rower Joanie Delgaco clocked in at 7:56.26 to end up fourth in Heat 2 of the women’s single sculls held at the Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium.
