Zero tolerance for illegal parking, vending

BACOLOD City – Starting next week, the city government will enforce a zero tolerance policy on illegal parking and ambulant vendors.
Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez instructed the city’s legal enforcement unit about this during a meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

Also present were City Legal Office head, Atty. Romeo Carlos Ting, Jr., and city administrator Pacifico Maghari III.

Ting said they were just waiting for the implementing rules and regulations of City Ordinance No. 1009, or the Ordinance Regulating Vending in the City of Bacolod.

Earlier, Benitez emphasized that a one-meter policy will take effect by Jan. 1, 2023, particularly on the sidewalks of the downtown area and in the markets./PN
